Cuban, and generally Caribbean rhythms, are fascinating as most people know. The origins of these Cuban rhythms are music brought by the Spanish colonialists, the African slaves and the native Caribbean music.
Today this Cuban music fusion is known worldwide as it is a way of living the Spanish world and getting the most out of it. Lots of countries dance and play the Caribbean born rhythms like meringue, cha-cha-cha and the even better known salsa.
If you are interested in studying Spanish and like Caribbean music, our Cuban schools will offer you the chance to learn Spanish in the mornings, and then take up an hour of music class in the afternoons, where you will learn the Cuban rhythms used in the guitar or percussion. The music module can be combined with any Spanish courses offered in our other destinations in Cuba.
