don Quijote News - 3/6/2007

don Quijote is proud to announce the successful outcome of another of its scholarships, awarded to the University of Bradford last year and subsequently won by one of its students of Spanish, David Crossley.

The University of Bradford currently has over 10,000 students and a wide range of both undergraduate and postgraduate courses on offer, with The Times´ Good University Guide recognising it as “The number one university in Yorkshire for graduate employment” in 2007.

The Department of Languages and European Studies, the recipients of last year´s scholarship scheme,  offers a number of courses and subject combinations including Spanish, History, European Studies and Politics as well as being an active promoter of the European Day of Languages..

The eventual scholarship winner, David Crossley, is a part time student who enjoyed a two week intensive course at don Quijote´s school in Barcelona. A frequent visitor to the city since 1982, David said, “It was a very enjoyable experience. Although the classes were of a high level, the tutors created a relaxed environment in which to learn and a bonus was living with people from all over Europe.”
