Spanish History, Art or Literature
This don Quijote course is aimed at students who want to enhance their cultural and historical knowledge of Spain. Taught by a native Spanish-speaking university graduate, this course allows you to not only improve your Spanish, but your understanding of the culture behind the language and its speakers. The class is taught in Spanish and it covers Spanish art, history or literature.
This course can be combined with any Intensive Spanish program to improve your general language skills, and includes two hours each day of lessons specialising in Spanish literature, history or art. These specific culture classes focus on historical events that have shaped the Spanish nation, important literary figures and famous works of art; studying these topics will give you a special appreciation of today's Spain as you personally experience its culture.
don Quijote offers this course in Granada, Barcelona, Madrid and Salamanca. The course lasts for 2 or 4 weeks and it will focus on Spanish art, history or literature. By looking at a series of significant artistic, historical or literary events in the past, the course will offer special insight on present-day Spanish culture and society. As these courses are taught in Spanish, your listening, comprehension skills and vocabulary will be enhanced.
