The diversity of cultures that arrived and settled in Cuba throughout the island's history all brought musical traditions which over time have blended with each other and with indigenous Caribbean sounds. The result is an extraordinary fusion of rhythms that feature African, Spanish and native elements in musical styles such as meringue, cha cha cha and of course salsa. Today Cuban music can be heard around the world.

If you enjoy the music of the Carribean Islands, and you're interested in learning Spanish, then we invite you to take our Spanish + music course in Cuba, where you'll study Spanish in the morning and music in the afternoon. In music class, you'll learn the rhythms of Cuba as played by the guitar or percussion instruments. You can combine the music course with any of the Spanish courses we offer in Cuba.
