Mediterranean Adventures

Life is good by the water, where the natural rhythm of the waves provides the perfect backdrop for sailing, windsurfing, and standup paddleboarding as well as swimming and beach games. The modern yet historic city of Valencia gives campers a new world to explore as they discover the Mediterranean lifestyle surrounded by new friends.

OUR VALENCIA CAMP

The popular Malvarrosa beach is just a 20-minute walk from our camp at Colegio Mayor Galileo Galilei, in Valencia's modern university district. The animated neighborhood is the perfect place for your children to improve their Spanish while they play sports and participate in fun activities with other students. They will also learn about the city's history and culture, enjoy excellent Mediterranean food, and fall in love with the way the sun shines on the beach. If they want to try out a new sport, this camp provides the perfect opportunity: our optional sailing classes are always a big hit. Students can also enjoy windsurfing and standup paddleboarding because the best place to spend the summer is on the water.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Students will be amazed when they look back at all the things they did at camp. Aside from all the Spanish they will learn, they'll also create memories that will last a lifetime because of the deep friendships they form with their international peers. Together, the students will get their hands dirty in arts and crafts workshops, open their taste buds in Spanish cooking classes, play games on the beach, dress up for different theme parties, and enjoy a summer barbecue. They'll also have the chance to explore the different sides of the city of Valencia, including the futuristic architecture of the City of Arts and Science and the largest aquarium in Europe, and take adventurous day trips to places like Javea, Peniscola, and La Albufera Natural Park.

OPTIONAL SPORTS AND ACTIVITIES

“I loved being with my new friends! Every single day we had different things to do like games, excursions, trips, campfires, handicrafts, workshops... I have had a very good time, I have met new friends and I am very happy about all the international friends I made.”

Sanna (Sweden - 14 years old)

“The classes are very fun; I love the activities. I would love the summer to last longer and to play more sports, have more carnivals, and participate in more workshops... it’s great!”

Anna (Brazil - 17 years old)

“Today was a really cool day! I went to the beach, and we did an obstacle course. When we got back to the camp the counselors put on a costume movie: the counselors dressed up like characters from the movie.”

Juliette (France - 6 years old)

“The best part for me was being able to meet people from all over the world in one place. I learned more Spanish in two weeks than in my whole life in school classes back home. My roommate, Jordi, was a really cool guy from Barcelona. They were great weeks. And I loved Salamanca... it is gorgeous.”
